A Look Back And A Look Ahead
2014 was a fantastic year for me, my family, and the Good Golly Ginger blog. I finished eight large quilts. I gave four of those away. I did mostly smaller projects throughout the year so that I can focus on my little ginger children. :) I created several patterns on craftsy. At the end of 2014, I also began quilting for hire. I didn't feel ready for it, but I was encouraged by others who thought I was indeed ready, and now I have my long arm business going with jobs already scheduled in 2015! Good things are happening! Here is a look back...
My number one post from 2014 was my Sand Drift Quilt finish! I love this quilt pattern, and I was so happy to see that it was my top post for the year.
The last two weeks of 2014 were spent busily finishing two sleeping bags for my gingers. They love them, and they sleep in them every night. I also made them a 6-foot teepee for Christmas.
So, what is ahead in 2015...
First of all, look at the url now. I dropped the blogspot.com, and now I am just goodgollyginger.com! You don't need to update anything. The old site is now just redirected to the new site. It's a small change, but it needed to be done.
I have many new fabric piles to work with in 2015. The first is from the fatquartershop...
The second pile is a lovely rainbow bundle of Kona Cottons from pileofabric. I have already begun to cut into this...
Alyssa from pileofabric also sent me a bundle of frozen fabric...
And finally, I have a secret bundle from Moda. I can't share it yet, but I have buried it under some batiks (hint, hint).
So, that is a lot to keep me busy at the start of 2015. I'm excited. It is going to be a great year!
I also finally ordered a stitch regulator for my long arm. I can't wait to start custom quilting and following pantographs.
My business is growing, and I am so gracious for that. That is my focus word for 2015. Over the last few days, it is the word that has stuck in my head. I am so gracious for all of my readers, my customers, my sponsors, all the blogs I read, my family, and all of this fabric! Life with fabric is filled with so much texture and color, how could I not just want to shout out "Thank you!"
Happy New Year to you and yours!

ReplyDeleteIn my twenties, my lenses were thick enough that strangers in the ray ban wayfarers online grocery store saw fit to remark on them. I started carrying a copy of my prescription in my wallet as a hedge against times when I’d meet ray ban sunglasses australia people who thought they had bad vision. I’d ask about their refraction, and they’d proudly offer some pathetic number: -5.25, -7.75, -4. ray ban sunglasses online I’d scoff and brandish my documentation: I’m -15 in the right, -15.25 in the left.
