Sand Drift For Blogger's Quilt Festival
I am so excited to share my Sand Drift quilt for the Blogger's Quilt Festival. This quilt will be entered into the large quilt category. Thank you so much to Amy at Amy's Creative Side for hosting this wonderful event!
The Sand Drift quilt is inspired by Native American style. The colors are warm and natural. I used Arizona (April Rhodes) fabric line by Art Gallery Fabrics. When I saw this line, I knew I needed to design a quilt pattern for it.
I quilted the quilt with an all-over water pattern. I used gold color Isacord thread, and the texture is amazing!
Sand Drift Quilt Stats:
Quilt size: 82" x 82"
Fabrics used: Arizona Canyon Wall, Arizona Triangle Token, Kona Cottons in Peach, Ochre, and Nightfall.
Threads used: Aurifil Ivory for piecing, Isacord Gold for quilting, and Isacord Navy for binding
Backing: Arizona Agave Field, Arizona Triangle Tokens, Arizona Desert Blanket, Reminisce Meadow in Gold, Winged Plumage in Apricot, and Arizona Tomahawk stripe
Binding: Modern Meadow Herringbone in Lake
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my Sand Drift quilt. If you would like to see more pictures, take a look at Craftsy or my original blog post about this quilt.
Happy Stitching,

ReplyDeleteThis is such an eye catching quilt! I love the strong contrast of colors and the movement the smaller triangles create! (this is probably the most "techy" comment I've ever left, lol!) I love this!
